“Charlie Crippen is the best contractor we’ve ever used! The work is top quality, was finished on time and within budget. He worked with my husband and me on every detail. Sometimes recommending, based on his experience, but never imposing his views and never trying to talk us into more expensive options. He and his superb crew built a 16’ X 24’ screened room with wood burning fireplace attached to our house. Each day before the crew left the area was cleaned and swept. His outstanding carpenters cut and fit huge cedar beams together using complex angles perfectly. All wires from the several overhead fixtures were hidden, and after several torrential rains the room has never leaked. Charlie attends to and anticipates every detail, nothing is overlooked, including matching a 12′ wall with cedar boards so each piece matches the one next to it. We cannot recommend him highly enough; he and his entire crew are very professional and courteous. We are extremely happy with our new 3 season room. He was not high-pressure, he was very patient with us, and he did a FANTASTIC job with the cabinet work. He found a creative solution to match the style perfectly with our cabinets, despite the fact that the inner drawer was a modern touch to our very dated kitchen. He left everything spotless, and his electrician cost 60% less than another we had come in to give us an estimate. In order to help us save money, he suggested we try to find a more local plumber to do the work, but even with the added travel charge for his guy, we found our local plumber charged the same. He let himself into and out of the house and did not need me to be there for any stage of the work. There were some difficulties caused by other sources- weather, timing, scheduling, unforeseen difficulties, etc – which he had to work through, but still handled everything with class.
